Bedford HWRC Signage Scheme

The newly redeveloped Barkers Lane site is Bedfordshire’s largest Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC), offering the public the facility to recycle a wide range of materials. Due to the site’s success it has become the county’s flagship recycling centre, generating interest from other councils.

Characters Signs were selected to design, manufacture and install a wide range of signage for the site. Working closely with the council and the main contractor, Weldon Construction at the “drawing board” stage. Signage was manufactured in accordance with the council’s branding identity and WRAP’s (Waste & Resources Action Programme) guidelines for recycling materials.
